Catholic Potluck Seminar
Our last Catholic Potluck Seminar of the 2007-08 season
will be held this Wednesday, May 14th from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
in the Church hall. Fr. Andreas Hock will speak on
"How to Get More Out of Holy Communion."
As always, no potluck dishes are required for this
"feast of faith," but snacks to share are always welcome.
Ladies of Charity Bake Sale
The Ladies of Charity will host a bake sale
next weekend, May 17th and 18th after all Sunday Masses
except for the 5:10 p.m. Mass. Please stop by their
table in the vestibule to purchase a sweet treat and support
their continued good works.
Prayer for Oblate Vocations
Loving Father, as Jesus taught us to beg the harvest master
to send laborers into his vineyard, so we now ask you to bless
the Oblates of the Virgin Mary with numerous vocations.
May your Spirit draw men of integrity to love you intensely,
and to serve you intensely, and to serve you courageously
in poverty, chastity, and obedience.
Reveal your mercy to them, and remove the distractions
and fears that keep them from echoing Mary's joyful Yes.
Guide them in discerning the mission for which you created them,
so that they will become wise, yet gentle, shepherds of souls.
We ask this through the intercession of Father Lanteri,
and in the name of Jesus the Lord. Amen.
