Sacramental Preparation
for children
The Church of the Holy Ghost provides year-long classes to prepare
children and teenagers for the reception of the Sacraments of
Baptism, First Penance, First Communion, and Confirmation.
FIRST PENANCE AND FIRST COMMUNION
Requirements
- Baptized Catholic, 2nd Grade and older children
- Registered Member of the Parish
- Participation of the Parents or guardian in home faith formation
- Weekly Mass attendance (8:30am)
- Weekly class attendance (Sunday 9:30—10:30am)
Schedule
- Classes begin in late September and run each week through April
- First Penance - 1st Saturday of March (9:30—11:30am)
- First Communion - 1st Sunday in May at the 12:00 Mass
(practice held Saturday prior from 9:00 –11:00am)
