Goals of our Classes Promote knowledge of our faith Moral Formation Teaching of Prayer Liturgical and Sacramental Education Holy Ghost’s Teachers Holy Ghost’s volunteer teachers are parishioners. Each receives continuing training and offers solid content in catechetical sessions appropriate to each age level. Every Catechist who teaches for Holy Ghost Church follows closely the Guidelines for General Catechesis and Sacramental Preparation suggested by the Archdiocese of Denver. Our Catechists are committed to providing Scriptural and Doctrinal based faith formation for each child or teenager. Responsibility of Parent(s) or Guardian Remember that parents and guardians are the child’s primary teachers of the faith. Parish catechists assist parents or guardians in teaching the faith. In order to provide consistent teaching and example, Holy Ghost Church REQUIRES parents and guardians to: - Participate in Mass each week with their children.
- Bring their children to CCD classes each week and discuss what they learn with them.
- Pray with their children at home.
- Strive to create a family environment where children feel safe, loved and comfortable, and where Jesus is known and loved.
